Job summary

Mitsubishi Films America in Greer, SC is seeking an R&D Developer and Marketing Technical Service professional to connect customer needs with materials science and manufacturing. You’ll help translate challenges into PET film concepts, plan pilot trials, and support commercialization.

Reporting to the Director of R&D, you will collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Quality, and Manufacturing, and engage with teams in Germany and Japan to drive customer-driven innovation and growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical service, product development, applications engineering, R&D, or technical sales within a polymer-focused field.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and communicate solutions clearly.
• Strong problem-solving, data analysis, troubleshooting, and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities through customer relationships and collaborate with Sales/Marketing to pursue growth in PET film products.
• Develop novel PET-based film solutions from concept to commercialization, including specs, tests, and process capability.
• Define product attributes, plan pilot/manufacturing trials, and coordinate transition to manufacturing.
