Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PET/CT Technologist for its Northern NJ facilities including Jersey City, Newark, Rahway and Elizabeth. This full-time role includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and requires strong patient communication and attention to safety to deliver high-quality PET/CT imaging.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, producing diagnostic images, and collaborating with radiologists while working across multiple locations and settings such as freestanding centers, mobile

Qualifications

• Pre-screening for contraindications and radiation safety procedures, with proper documentation.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Effective communication with patients and radiologists.
• Trains new technologists/PCs and supports team learning.
• Troubleshoots scanners and peripheral equipment (Monitors, PACS, coils).

Responsibilities

• Pre-screen patients and ensure radiation safety and proper documentation.
• Produce high-quality PET/CT images.
• Communicate with patients, radiologists, and staff.
• Train new technologists and PC staff.
• Troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment.
