Qualifications

  • 6 months clinical PET/CT and CT experience required.
  • ARRT(CT) and NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification required.
  • Current BLS certification through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PET/CT and diagnostic CT procedures as per established protocols.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast media for imaging.
  • Maintain compliance with safety policies and quality control procedures.

Job description

PET/CT Technologist - Houston, Texas



Responsibilities

The PET/CT Technologist performs PET/CT, CT Simulation, diagnostic CT procedures, administers prepared radiopharmaceuticals, administers contrast media and performs ordered examinations according to policies and procedures established by the KSC Nuclear Medicine Department, Radiology Department, and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. The technologist may perform general nuclear medicine imaging as needed to include but not limited to Nuclear Cardiology, dynamic flow studies and SPECT studies. Complies with all safety policies and regulations including radiation safety and quality control procedures. Utilizes the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Radiology information System (RIS) to complete patient exam documentation process and designated Patient Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for image storage

Salary Range: $88,329 - $109,113 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)



Qualifications



Education



Required: Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine or Radiology program



Preferred: Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine or Radiology program and a Bachelor's Degree in a



healthcare related field.



Experience



Required: 6 months clinical PET/CT and CT.



Preferred: 3 > years in both PET/CT and CT.



License(s)



Required: Texas Medical Board Medical Technologist- General Certificate; ARRT(CT)and NMTCB or ARRT(N)



or Registry eligible.



Preferred: N/A



Special Skills



Required: N/A



Preferred: N/A



Other



Required: Current BLS through American Heart Association.



Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.



Preferred: ACLS
