Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a PET/CT Technologist for our Float Pool. This PRN, varied-shift role involves administering radioactive medication and operating PET/CT equipment to diagnose disease.
You will prepare patients, sterilize supplies, and generate accurate image reports while adhering to Florida radiation rules. Required are 1-2 years hospital and customer service experience, 1-2 years radioactive material handling, and 3-5 years knowledge of federal/state regulations.
Baptist Health is currently looking to add a PET/CT Technologist to our Float Pool at varied locations in the Jacksonville, FL area. This is a PRN, Varied Shifts opportunity.
This PET Technologist will be responsible for providing patients with radioactive medication and operating imaging technology to track the radiation within the patient’s body. Their duties include sterilizing syringes, preparing patients for a scan, and processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease.
Performing high-quality diagnostic procedures
Knowledge of State of (and adherence to) Florida rules and regulations regarding Radiation Control/Radioactive Materials
Protecting patients, self, and others from unnecessary/excessive radiation exposure
Complying with mandatory education and health requirements.
Experience Requirements:
1-2 years Experience working in a hospital setting Required
1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
1-2 years Radioactive Material Experience Required
3-5 years Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations
Education & Credential Requirements:
Vocational School
Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT)-NMTCB Required Or
Licensed Nuclear Medical Technologist –ARRT Required Or
Registered Radiologic Technologist- ARRT Required Or
Basic Life Support (BLS)-AHA Required
