Job summary

South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers (STRIC) is seeking a PET Scan Technologist to perform PET/CT procedures, ensure patient safety, and maintain quality control. The role involves collaboration with STRIC teams in San Antonio, TX, and adherence to radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Registered ARRT (N) or NMCTB.
• Texas CMRT certification (DSHS).
• CPR certification.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Perform PET CT procedures per established protocols and evaluate image quality.
• Assess workflow to improve patient care and report to management.
• Deliver high-quality patient care and service during PET/CT duties.
• Provide in-service on Radiation Protection and exposure for staff.
• Inform management of changes to the Radiation Protection Program.
• Serve as primary contact about radiation exposure in the absence of the Radiation Safety Officer.
• Arrange technologist coverage when imaging department supervisor is unavailable.
