Job summary

RadNet in New Jersey is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to perform high quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging, while delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will ensure correct radionuclide dosing, explain procedures to patients, monitor safety, and maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information. ARRT certification requirements and BLS are required; venipuncture certification and high school diploma are also specified.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT) with State Nuclear Medicine License or ARRT(R) certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification.
• Venipuncture certification/permit.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care.
• Assure proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient.
• Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through a sometimes-difficult process by gently talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Education
