Job summary

Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN) is seeking a PET-CT Technologist for our Twain site in Las Vegas, NV. The role involves performing diagnostic PET/CT and CT imaging, administering contrast, preparing protocols, and ensuring image quality with QA support.

The successful candidate will have an accredited Nuclear Medicine or Radiologic Technology degree, PET/CT certification, 3–5 years of experience, CNMT and/or ARRT(N) certification, and state licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

  • Degrees in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology with PET/CT certification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in nuclear medicine or PET imaging.
  • Knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems.
  • CNMT and/or ARRT(N) certification and state licensure where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic PET/CT or CT imaging procedures including injection of radiopharmaceuticals and/or IV contrast, protocol setup, positioning, reconstruction and archiving.
  • Assists in procedure scheduling and related front office tasks to ensure workflow.
  • Ensures accuracy of patient demographics, report distribution and files.
  • Collects clinical data for patient follow-up and educational materials development.
  • Provides protection for patient and self per safety standards; conducts daily QC to monitor scanner performance.
  • Reports malfunctions and/or need for service to the proper facility.
  • Manages patient data and films including printing, archiving, retrieval and transfers.
  • Understands contraindications with IV contrast and actions in case of reactions.
  • Orders necessary office, medical, printing and archiving media.
