Job description

Our PET/CT technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain procedures, and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction. They interpret physician orders effectively and select appropriate software options and imaging parameters to produce high-quality PET/CT images, enabling accurate diagnosis and confident treatment. Our techs work in various environments—outpatient centers, mobile units, or hospital-based facilities—demonstrating flexibility to deliver optimal imaging care at any access point.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
  1. Ensuring patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection techniques, and radiation safety compliance with proper documentation when working with radioactive materials.
  2. Producing high-quality diagnostic images.
  3. Communicating effectively with customers and radiologists.
  4. Training new technologists and/or PC's.
  5. Troubleshooting scanners, coaches, and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).
Position Requirements:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred.
  2. Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
  3. State license, as applicable.
  4. CPR certification required.
  5. Valid state driver’s license, if applicable.
  6. 1-2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred.
  7. Ability to work at multiple locations.
  8. Strong customer service, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  9. Basic computer skills.
  10. Local travel may be required.
  11. COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
  12. Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening is required.
Physical Requirements:

May include exposure to outside weather, radioactive isotopes, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases. More than 50% of the time involves sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive movements. Less than 50% involves stooping, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and transferring patients.
