Job Summary and Qualifications

Technologists are responsible for performing Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT examinations, following protocols outlined by the Radiologist and Cardiologist. The scope of practice includes operation of nuclear medicine and CT instrumentation; performance of diagnostic procedures; patient care; quality control; handling of radiopharmaceuticals; usage of adjunctive medications; in‑vitro diagnostic testing; radionuclide therapy; and radiation safety. Additional duties include clerical tasks, scheduling, transporting, ordering supplies, inventory management, cleaning, and other responsibilities as delegated by the medical imaging management team. Direct supervision of students may be required at the discretion of the area supervisor.

Requirements
  • State License Nuclear Medicine required
  • Certified Nuc Med NMTCB required
  • Registered CT required within 1 year of hire
  • BLS Required
