Job summary

United Imaging - North America is seeking a PET/CT Research Collaboration Scientist to advance collaborative research and publication outcomes in medical imaging.

You will lead and support partnerships with luminary institutions, drive dissemination at conferences and journals, and contribute to product development through coordination with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or equivalent in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Nuclear Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong clinical/technical background in PET/CT with publications.
  • Familiarity with kinetic modeling, PET data acquisition/corrections, image reconstruction, and AI.
  • Proven ability to drive research projects, clinical trials, and collaborative studies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 30%, including international trips.

Responsibilities

  • Support scientific collaborations at luminary institutions and drive research results leading to publications, grants, and patents.
  • Drive the publication of results at conferences and in journals.
  • Identify and foster relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the region.
  • Support PET/CT product development by coordinating with internal teams and partners for evaluation and testing.

  • Execute research contracts with support from legal, regulatory, and compliance.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

As a PET/CT Research Collaboration Scientist, major responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting scientific collaborations at luminary institutions and driving collaborative research results leading to impactful publications, external grant applications, and/or patent applications
  • Driving the publication of results at conferences and in world-class journals
  • Identifying, building, and foster strong collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the region
  • Supporting the future PET/CT product development pipeline – coordinating both with internal development teams and research partners for the development, comprehensive evaluation, and testing of prototypes and new products
  • Keeping customers and collaboration partners informed and up to date about United Imaging’s technologies
  • Execute research contracts with support from legal, regulatory, and compliance
Requirements
Qualification & Requirements
  • Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Nuclear Engineering, or related fields
  • A strong clinical and/or technical background in the field of PET/CT with a proven track record of scientific publications
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following areas of expertise: kinetic modeling; PET data acquisition/corrections; image reconstruction; artificial intelligence
  • Proven ability in driving research projects, clinical trials, and collaborative studies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Willing and able to travel up to 30% including short term international trips
