Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Technologist's Assistant to support technologists and keep the scanning area running smoothly. The role focuses on scheduling, patient greeting, room setup, and efficient preparation for subsequent patients.

Responsibilities include assisting with modular setup, organizing films, and maintaining clean, stocked imaging spaces. The position emphasizes teamwork with Medical Records and Front Office while ensuring timely patient flow.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be at least 16 years old.
• Preferred High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Monitors schedules for modalities and communicates changes to technologists.
• Greets and escorts patients to changing room and explains the procedure.
• Prepares patient jackets and films and organizes jackets by date and number.
• Assists technologists in room setup between patients and ensures proper equipment is in place.
• Prepares the next patient for scanning to optimize scheduling.
• Restores and networks all previous exams for next-day patients.
• Stocks and cleans MRI work areas and imaging rooms to maintain organization.
• Keeps patient imaging areas neat and stocked; cleans prep room and restroom.
• Stores linen and handles end-of-night laundry; maintains supply closet and radiologist reading area.
• Coordinates with technologists, Medical Records, and Front Office for additional duties.
