Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a PET Scan Technologist to operate PET/CT equipment, measure radiopharmaceuticals, and provide diagnostic imaging to support physician decisions.

Responsibilities include patient scheduling, quality control, dose administration, and radiopharmacy safety. Requires ARRT/JRCNMT/CAMRT bachelor’s degree, registry progression, and CPR certification. St. Luke’s is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ARRT, JRCNMT, or CAMRT recognized bachelor’s degree education program. Must pass registry within 1 year of hire date. PET certification optional.
  • Four+ years of clinical nuclear medicine experience preferred. Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Follows PET/CT policies and procedures in compliance with established protocols.
  • Scheduling of patients and educates patients regarding procedures.
  • Performance of Quality Control on equipment per ACR.
  • Demonstrates competency in venipuncture with radioactive liquids and administers isotope dosage.
  • Maintains Hot Lab and waste disposal per NRC/state regulations.
  • Performs complex PET/CT imaging procedures completing diagnostic studies.
  • Starts scanner and monitors patient safety and comfort.

Education

ARRT/JRCNMT/CAMRT bachelor’s degree education program
Registry eligibility, pass within 1 year
PET certification (optional)
