Job summary

Martin's Super Markets in Elkhart, IN is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to display and stock products, and contribute to guest experience while following safety and food safety guidelines.

You’ll assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise, rotate and merchandise shelves, notify managers when orders are needed, handle damaged items, operate the register, and maintain clean departments. High School Diploma (GED) preferred; retail or related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, unloading, and stacking merchandise in the back room.
• Properly fill, rotate and merchandise shelves, cases and displays on sales floor.
• Notify the manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Have familiarity with all products carried in the departments and know the product locations in the store.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per established guidelines.
• Maintain clean, attractive and well stocked departments.
• Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases.
• Handle small live animals and insects for customer purchase.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
