Mission Pet Health is hiring a Kennel Assistant to provide personalized care for boarding and daycare pets, monitor animal health, and maintain a clean, safe environment. You will support operations by managing supplies and collaborating with a close-knit team to ensure high-quality care.

The role requires physical stamina, flexibility, and strong communication. Prior experience is preferred, and weekend/holiday shifts may be required to support guest animals.

Qualifications

• A genuine love for animals and commitment to welfare.
• Reliable and hardworking with ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and good judgment under stress.
• Physical capacity to lift up to 50+ lbs and perform active duties.
• Previous kennel assistant experience preferred; flexible schedule including some weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: primary caregiver for boarding and daycare pets, ensuring proper food, exercise and attention.
• Be the Eyes and Ears of Animal Health: monitor behavior and health, notify medical team of concerns.
• Create a Safe and Healthy Environment: maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, runs, and outdoor areas.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: manage inventory for food and cleaning supplies and collaborate with team to complete tasks.
