Sherwood South Animal Hospital Emergency & Critical Care Center in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Kennel Attendant. This part-time role covers 20–30 hours weekly, including weekends and holidays, focused on daily care, feeding, cleaning, and monitoring boarding pets.

Ideal candidates have canine experience, strong communication, and comfort with basic computer tasks. Must lift up to 50 pounds and work well both independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• Eligible to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Veterinary hospital experience and/or candidate handling experience required.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily care for boarding pets including feeding, watering, walking, and bathing.
• Administer medications and monitor well-being of dogs and cats.
• Accurately document pet condition and updates for clients.
• Check in/out boarding clients and ensure clean kennel environment.
• Communicate with clients and teammates about any concerns or illnesses.
• Assist with cleaning hospital grounds and kennels to maintain safety.

Formation

High School Diploma or equivalent

AAS or higher preferred
