Job summary

Klondike Kennels is seeking a part-time Pet Care Attendant who loves animals and enjoys hands-on care. You will help maintain health, happiness, and well-being of dogs and cats staying with us, working mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. Compensation is negotiable based on experience.

No prior animal care background required in principle; a passion for pets and willingness to learn, plus physical ability to walk dogs and handle mixed breeds, are valued. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather.
• Must be able to walk large dogs (50 lbs+) with strength.
• Ability to handle a variety of breeds and sizes.
• Deep love for pets and willingness to learn.
• Training and ropes will be provided.

We’re searching for someone who is enthusiastic about animals and ready to join a supportive, fun-loving team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining the health, happiness, and overall well‑being of the furry guests staying with us.

Must be flexible and available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, school breaks and holidays; including before, day of, and the days after Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and Spring Break.

Job Requirements

• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors, even when the weather is not perfect
• Must be able to walk large dogs (50 lbs+) with the strength required
• Ability to handle a variety of breeds and sizes, from tiny house cats and Chihuahuas to big Great Danes with confidence
• While an animal care background is desired, a deep love for pets and a willingness to learn will go a long way.
• Don’t worry, we’ll show you the ropes (and the leashes).
