Job summary

Destination Pet in Garden City, ID is hiring an Animal Care Attendant to join our pet-loving team. This on-site role involves caring for dogs and other pets, cleaning kennels, feeding, and supervising playtime to keep our canine and feline guests happy.

You should be able to lift up to 40 lbs, work evenings, weekends and holidays, and stay on your feet throughout shifts. Pay starts at $15.00 per hour DOE plus tips, with DailyPay available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and accidents is part of the job.
• Must be on feet for the duration of shift.

Responsibilities

• Keep pet enclosures and play areas spotless and safe.
• Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
• Monitor the health, happiness, and comfort of every guest.
• Report any unusual issues to the General Manager.
• Supervise playtime, tail-wagging, and enrichment activities.
• Assist with brushing and bath time.
• Handle laundry and belongings so every pet has clean snuggly stuff.
• Make tails wag as a core goal of the role.
• Other duties as assigned.
