Job summary

Destination Pet LLC is seeking an Animal Care Attendant at Heritage Pet. This on-site, part-time role focuses on caring for dogs and cats, keeping enclosures clean, feeding, and monitoring pet wellbeing.

You’ll work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with physical tasks like lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for long periods. We value a genuine love for animals, prior kennel or care experience is a plus, and DailyPay access is available along with 401K and pet insurance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair and accidents.
• Must be on feet for the duration of your shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
• A borderline-obsessive love for animals.
• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe and sanitized.
• Serve meals and fresh water for pets.
• Monitor health and happiness of every pet guest and report issues.
• Supervise playtime and assist with grooming/bath when needed.
• Handle laundry and belongings to keep pets comfortable.
