Lincoln Square Veterinary Hospital is hiring a Part-time Kennel Assistant to provide daily care for hospitalized and boarding pets in a clean, safe environment. You will support technicians and doctors, help with basic procedures, and ensure records and supplies are organized.

A strong focus on reliability, compassion for animals, and teamwork is essential. The role offers hands-on training, opportunities to grow into a Tech Assistant, and a benefits-rich environment with discounts and wellness

Qualifications

• Previous animal care or veterinary experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Reliable, hardworking, and team oriented.
• Comfort with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong cleanliness and organization.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care, feeding, walking, and monitoring of hospitalized and boarding pets.
• Safely handle and restrain animals, including large or anxious pets.
• Assist technicians and doctors with patient care and minor procedures.
• Clean and maintain kennels, treatment areas, surgical equipment, and the hospital.
• Follow proper cleaning, disinfection, and isolation protocols.
• Stock and maintain hospital supplies.
• Provide compassionate and professional customer service.
• Use computers for basic record keeping and hospital tasks.
