Goodlettsville Animal Hospital is seeking a Kennel Assistant to support grooming and boarding operations. You will care for patients, clean and maintain kennels, feed and walk animals, and collaborate with technicians and doctors to ensure comfort and safety.

Schedule requires working across operating hours, including alternating weekends and holidays. Availability for 4- to 10-hour shifts and holiday coverage is expected; prior veterinary exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Weekend work required.
• Prior veterinary experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• OSHA safety techniques and PPE usage.

Responsabilités

• Provides care for patients visiting for grooming or boarding.
• Records admission details, contact information, and pickup times.
• Notes feeding schedules, appearance, and behavior; monitors health.
• Properly restrains difficult patients when needed; ensures safety.
• Walks patients several times daily for exercise and elimination.
• Provides appropriate food and fluids as needed.
• Ensures cages and personal property are stored and identified.
• Regularly cleans and disinfects kennels, cages, runs, and stalls; washes bowls.
• Launders towels and blankets.
• Maintains hospital grounds and cleans waste.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
