Job summary

Destination Pet is hiring a Bather at our Wescott Acres location in Columbia, SC. This on-site role involves bathing dogs of all sizes with care, drying and brushing, and assisting groomers to ensure pets look and feel their best.

We value a dog-loving, team-oriented person who can stand on their feet for long periods, handle pets safely, and maintain a clean, safe salon environment. Competitive pay starts at $11/hour with tips, full-time benefits, and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional bathing experience preferred.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Stand and work on your feet through long shifts.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays availability required.
• Comfort with cleaning supplies and pet hair is expected.

Responsibilities

• Bath dogs of all sizes with care and compassion.
• Blow dry, brush, and prep dogs for grooming appointments.
• Trim nails and brush teeth as trained.
• Assist groomers and handle check-ins or front desk support as needed.
• Keep the salon clean, sanitized, and guest-ready.
• Notify the front desk when pups are ready to go home.
