Job summary

Rentokil North America, Inc. is seeking a Pest Control Technician to deliver industry-leading pest management services for commercial customers.

You will identify pests, inspect sites, apply approved products, and provide preventative advice while following safety regulations and communicating with clients about solutions. Responsibilities include educating customers on prevention, maintaining equipment and vehicles, managing inventory, and working with local regulations to protect food safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Customer-facing experience preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math and ability to follow labels.

You will be responsible for identifying and eliminating pests from residential properties by conducting thorough inspections, determining the type of pest infestation, applying appropriate treatments like pesticides and traps, and providing preventative measures to prevent future infestations, all while adhering to safety regulations and communicating with clients about pest control solutions.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standardsEducate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest-free environment. Provide advice on how to reduce the risk of future infestations.Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm their appointments, help with sales to current customers, and expand our product to new customersEnsure that all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working conditionAdhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocolsDrive and safely operate a company provided service vehicle (we provide routine maintenance)Essential Job Functions:Effectively communicate with internal team and clientsCandidates must be client-focused, self-motivated, possess effective time-management skills and interact professionally with our clientsPerform quality pest inspections and effective treatments for our clients incommercial food, pharmaceutical and related environmentsManage inventory of equipment and suppliesSupport client’s food safety management system: protect the food supplyand the environmentProvide excellent client care & service, problem solving, and listening skillsFlexibility and willingness to work variable hoursWhat do you need?High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAvailable to work Monday-Friday and weekends as neededOpen to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest controlSolid reading, writing, and verbal communication skillsBasic math skills - You’ll need to be able to follow instructions for mixing on product labelsCustomer-facing experience preferred#rtx400#ziprtxBase Pay RangeHourly: $18.00 - $25.00While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience.
