Job summary

Orkin in Urbandale, IA is seeking hands-on technicians to inspect and install pest control and home protection systems. You will work with a crew to complete attic and crawlspace services, including encapsulation and insulation, plus light carpentry tasks.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and can obtain a state pesticide license within 90 days. Training is provided and a strong work ethic is valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in construction/maintenance preferred.
• Ability to obtain state pesticide license within 90 days (company-paid training).
• Lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in attics or crawlspaces.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and install pest and home protection systems.
• Work collaboratively on a crew of technicians to complete a job.
• Complete attic and crawlspace services, including encapsulation and insulation.
• Light carpentry work.
• Communicate clearly with customers.
• Maintain company equipment and complete reports via handheld device.
