Job summary

Pointe Pest Control in Illinois is seeking a Licensed IDPH Technician to manage pest-control routes on a full-time basis. You will apply pesticides, discuss service scope with customers, and assist in sales while using a company vehicle.

Base hourly pay plus commissions, $750 sign-on bonus for licensed IDPH, comprehensive benefits, uniform, training, and opportunities across the PestCo family. Route locations include West Chicago, Elmhurst, Oak Brook and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Pest Control experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform bending/kneeing as needed.
• Ability to read and write simple correspondence; comfortable with an iPad.

Responsibilities

• Operate day-to-day pest control route following schedule and label instructions.
• Arrive at each customer location on time; a company vehicle is provided.
• Discuss service scope with customers and assist in sales.
• Recommend and provide estimates for treatments and maintenance.
• Maintain vehicle, equipment, and PPE in good condition.
• Complete all appointments per company policies and local regulations.

Schedule: Monday-Friday (Occasional Saturdays)

Compensation: Base Hourly + Commissions

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a pest control route. Apply pesticides to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions.
• Follow a daily schedule, ensuring timely arrival at each of your customer's home. A company vehicle is provided.
• Discuss the scope of service with the customer.
• Assist in sales.
• Utilize in-house training provided to decide the most efficient pest solution for your customer's needs.
• Provide your customers with the best pest control and eradication services in the industry.
• Recommend and provide estimates for one-time treatments and continual maintenance to new and existing customers.
• Complete all scheduled customer appointments on time in accordance with all applicable Company policies and local rules and regulations.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer's individual needs.
• Use all safety equipment as instructed.
• Maintain professional appearance and equipment in working order including but not limited to vehicle, uniform, application equipment, PPE, paperwork, and literature etc.
• Devote your full attention and time, during working hours, to the performance of your duties and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor and the Company.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• $750 Sign on Bonus for Valid IDPH License.
• Strong Communication skills effectively through verbal, written and in person.
• Strong customer service and in-person presentation skills.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs and be able to kneel and bend as necessary for a job.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Self-motivated and results driven.
• Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Pest Control experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence and be able to use an iPad (provided by the company)
• Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients and other employees.
