Job summary

Orkin is seeking individuals to join our award-winning team in Rockford, IL. No pest control experience is required due to comprehensive training, with paid training from day one and opportunities to grow into leadership roles.

You will service customer routes, inspect properties, and communicate solutions clearly. If you are flexible, reliable, and customer-focused, you’ll fit right in with our safety-conscious, technology-enabled team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain pesticide license within first 90 days (company paid).
• Use a ladder safely within manufacturer’s weight capacity.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers professionally on daily route and provide pest protection.
• Inspect properties and identify pest issues; training provided.
• Communicate solutions clearly and empathetically to customers.
• Recommend additional services to create peace of mind.
• Operate and maintain company vehicle and equipment safely.
• Complete reports and documentation on a handheld device.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid)
• Use a ladder safely within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator.
