Job summary

Orkin is hiring Pest Control Technicians in the United States. No pest control experience is required; paid training will teach you the pest control side and help you obtain the state pesticide license. You will drive a company vehicle, inspect properties, identify pest problems, perform pest control services, and build relationships with customers.

This is a full-time, year-round role with benefits and opportunities for career advancement into sales, leadership, and management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain state pesticide license within 90 days; company-paid training provided.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in crawl spaces, attics, basements, and rooftops.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle to customer locations within the service area.
• Inspect homes and businesses for signs of pests and pest activity.
• Identify pest issues and determine appropriate treatment and prevention solutions.
• Perform interior and exterior pest control services using company-provided products, tools, and equipment.
• Explain findings and recommendations clearly to customers; provide pest prevention advice.
• Manage daily route and appointments while working independently.
• Document services and complete reports using a smartphone/tablet.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable pesticide regulations.
• Build positive customer relationships and represent the Orkin brand professionally.
