Job summary

Viking Termite & Pest Control LLC in New Jersey is seeking a dependable Pest Control Technician to inspect homes, identify pest issues, and apply treatments in accordance with label directions.

You will maintain detailed service notes, communicate clearly with clients, and drive to job sites while upholding safety standards and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and have off-street parking for the company vehicle.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read labels and follow directions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Able to meet physical demands: walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to safely use an extension ladder.
• Proficient with GPS, smartphones, and company software.

Responsibilities

Principal Responsibilities

• Resolve customer pest issues
• Apply pesticides or the product as directed
• Remove cobwebs around the perimeter of the home
• Set and remove traps as needed
• Provide service notes to clients
• Follow daily route to ensure services are completed efficiently
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations
• Sell new services to existing clients
• Close leads as directed from the sales team and branch manager
• Provide updates to branch manager as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 21 years of age
