Job summary

Island Palm Communities is seeking a full-time Pest Control Technician to manage and eliminate structural pests, ensuring safe and pest-free living conditions for residents. The role involves reporting insecticide applications and adhering to regulatory requirements.

The technician will apply chemicals or mechanical devices within Integrated Pest Management guidelines, maintain certifications, and keep accurate records while supporting resident safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 -3 years previous work experience required.
• State license for Pesticide Application required.
• A current driver''s license in good standing and the ability to meet driving records standards.
• Must be able to pass respirator fit test.
• Basic familiarity with computers; able to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing.
• Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with organization staff, clients and visitors.
• Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner.

Responsibilities

• Identify pest problems and appropriate solution, apply chemical or mechanical devices in accordance with integrated Pest Management practices. Comply with all state, federal and local regulatory agencies. Must maintain all applicable certifications or licenses. Meet all work order response and completion times as defined in management plan.
• Responsible for identifying, selecting, mixing, and applying chemicals in accordance with the product label, local, state, and federal regulations.
• Responsible for recording chemical application data through electronic database and/or manual record keeping
• Periodically perform inventory control to ensure ample supply of materials is available
