Job description

WinnCompanies is searching for a Pest Control Technician to join our military housing team at Fort Cavazos, TX.

In this role, you will be responsible for the management and elimination of structural pests. You will also properly report application of insecticides used on the project and help ensure safe and pest free-living conditions for our residents.

Please note that this position is located at a federal facility. In accordance with the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID is required in order to access the federal facility.


Responsibilities
  • Identify pest problems and find appropriate solutions. Apply chemical or mechanical devices in accordance with Integrated Pest Management practices.
  • Comply with all state, federal, and local regulatory agencies. Maintain all applicable certifications or licenses. Meet all work order response and completion times as defined in management plan.
  • Responsible for identifying, selecting, mixing, and applying chemicals in accordance with the product label, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Responsible for recording chemical application data though electronic database and/or manual record keeping.
  • Periodically perform inventory control to ensure ample supply of materials is available.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • Ability to obtain state specific Pest Control Applicators' license within 2 months of eligibility and/or qualification once hired.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain all certifications required to perform pest control activities on federal property.
  • Ability to read and write in English, in order to comprehend and comply with product labels.
  • Ability to wear the assigned uniform and adjust personal protection levels in accordance to label.
  • Basic familiarity with computers and web-based applications.
  • Solid customer service skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
  • This position is located at a federal facility. In accordance with the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID is required in order to access the federal facility.

  • Vocational or technical training.
