Job summary

Aptive Environmental is hiring a Pest Control Technician to service residents in the Williamsburg area. This full-time, on-road role reports weekly to the Virginia Beach office and involves local route execution with hands-on training provided.

Responsibilities include fielding pest concerns, maintaining equipment, recording treatments, and following federal/state pesticide rules. The job requires a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, with a schedule including every other Saturday.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; company provides training.
• A US driver’s license valid for at least 3 years is required.
• A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in past year and no more than two in past 4 years).
• A drug test and background check will be performed on all new hires.

Responsibilities

• Run a daily route to resolve customer pest concerns.
• Maintain truck and equipment in proper working order.
• Keep accurate records of treatments provided.
• Mix, apply, and handle pesticides following state and federal laws.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for customers and tailor pest solutions.
• Maintain and service all route customers per company standards.
• Advise customers of potential problems.
• Keep management informed of route issues.
• Maintain inventory of pesticides in use.
• Assigned route will be in your local area.
• Carry a backpack sprayer weighing ~50 lbs.
• Work schedule includes every other Saturday.

We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented and creative team player to join our Aptive team! This is a full-time Pest Control Technician position located on the road in the area around Williamsburg,VA. This position will report to our office in Virginia Beach,VA once per week. The individual we are looking for is also someone that enjoys working in a team environment, and excels working at an individual level.

• $17.50-20.50 an hour

Responsibilities Include

• Running a daily route where you will be resolving customer pest concerns and issues
• Maintaining truck and equipment in proper working order
• Keeping accurate records of treatments provided
• Mixing, applying, and working with pesticides following state and federal laws
• Serve as the subject matter expert for your customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer's individual needs
• Maintain and service all route customers according to company standards and procedures
• Advise customers of potential problems
• Keep management informed of any problems encountered on service routes
• Maintain proper inventory of pesticides in usage
• Please note that you will be assigned a route in your local area
• Carry a product backpack that weighs approximately 50 lbs
• Work schedule includes every other Saturday
