Pest Hunters–Mosquito Hunters of Suburban Essex seeks a Pest Control Technician to work outdoors, service homes and businesses, and help protect customers' spaces. You should enjoy independence, care about customer happiness, and take pride in quality work.

We offer a full-time schedule, a base salary of $40,000–$50,000 plus commissions, paid licensing and ongoing training, opportunities for advancement, a company vehicle, and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years pest control experience (residential or commercial).
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Strong customer service skills — you represent us in homes and businesses.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Eye for detail and commitment to safety.
• Valid NJ driver's license with clean driving record.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, takes pride in quality work.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential and commercial pest control treatments.
• Inspect properties, identify pest issues, and recommend solutions.
• Apply treatments in accordance with national and NJ regulations and best practices.
• Document work accurately in our field service software.
• Build trust with homeowners and business owners.
• Educate customers on prevention and long-term solutions.
• Deliver service that generates great reviews and referrals.
• Identify opportunities to help neighboring properties and commercial accounts.

Pest Control Technician – Full-Time Location: Millburn, NJ (serving Essex County)

Compensation: $40,000–$50,000+/year depending on experience and licensing, plus commission on upsells

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays during peak season

We're a locally owned pest & mosquito control business growing quickly and looking for an experienced pest tech to help us build up this service.

What You'll Do

Service Delivery

• Perform residential and commercial pest control treatments
• Inspect properties, identify pest issues, and recommend solutions

Business Development

• Identify opportunities to help neighboring properties
• Look for commercial accounts that could benefit from our services
• Contribute to growing our customer base through great work and smart outreach

What We're Looking For

Required

• 1+ years pest control experience (residential or commercial)
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving
• Strong customer service skills — you represent us in people's homes and businesses
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Eye for detail and commitment to safety
• Valid NJ driver's license with clean driving record
• Reliable, detail-oriented, takes pride in quality work

Preferred

• NJ 7A (General Pest) and/or 7B (Termite) Pesticide Applicator License
• Note: If you have the experience but not the license yet, we can work with that
• Experience with ants, roaches, rodents, wildlife exclusion
• Commercial pest control background
