Job summary

Orkin is seeking a Pest Control Technician (Maintenance) to protect homes and businesses with top-tier pest protection. You will service daily routes, inspect properties, and communicate solutions to customers.

No pest control experience required; paid training from day one. The role offers stable work, benefits, and opportunities to advance into leadership or management; physical work outdoors in various conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and able to climb, crawl or work in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to work outdoors and independently in diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers professionally on daily route and provide top-tier pest protection.
• Inspect properties and identify pest issues, training provided.
• Communicate solutions clearly and empathetically to customers.
• Recommend additional services that bring peace of mind.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment safely.
• Complete reports and documentation on a handheld device.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid)
• Use a ladder safely within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator.
