Job summary

Orkin is hiring a Pest Control Technician (Maintenance) in the United States. The role focuses on protecting homes and businesses from pests with comprehensive training provided. You will work in a field-based, hands-on environment, traveling to sites, performing treatments, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Typical earnings range from $50,000 to $60,000 per year plus commission. Company vehicle and benefits are included, with room for advancement into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a pesticide license within 90 days (company paid).
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs; able to access crawl spaces and attics.
• Comfort with climbing, crawling, and working in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide pest protection and communicate clearly with customers.
• Identify pest issues inside and outside, with full training provided.
• Explain findings, answer questions, and recommend services.
• Follow safety protocols during services, handling equipment and treatments.
• Manage company vehicle, tools, and materials safely and responsibly.
• Log findings and complete service reports using handheld devices.

Pest Control Technician (Maintenance)

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Provide top-tier pest protection, communicate clearly, and demonstrate customer focus in every interaction.
• Identify pest issues both inside and outside homes or businesses , full training provided.
• Explain findings, answer questions, and recommend services that help customers feel secure and informed.
• Follow all safety protocols while conducting services , handling equipment, and applying treatments to protect yourself, your team, and customers.
• Handle company vehicles, tools, and materials responsibly while adhering to best practices.
• Use handheld devices to accurately log findings, complete service reports, and track customer interactions efficiently.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid)
• Use a ladder safely within the manufacturer's weight capacity.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator.
