Job summary

Waltham Pest Services is hiring a Technician to service residential and commercial customers on the road. The position offers a base salary of $43,000–$58,000 plus unlimited commission opportunities, a company vehicle, gas card, smartphone, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will inspect properties, identify pest issues, propose solutions, and coordinate with sales to estimate maintenance costs. Training is provided, and pesticide licensing is company-paid.

Qualifications

• No experience required; we’ll train you.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
• Ability to work in the field independently, manage route-based assignments and interact with our customers.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge learned and retained through training to help residential and commercial customers with their pest control issues.
• Inspect attics, crawlspaces, and the interiors and exteriors of homes or businesses in our area.
• Identify and recognize opportunities to sell additional services or equipment.
• Recommend treatment and prevention methods for pest problems to clients.
• Consult with sales reps and leaders to provide estimate for maintenance service requirements or costs.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

Physical Demands / Working Environment:

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc. including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator
• Willing to work in different types of weather conditions
