Job summary

Waltham Pest Services in Boston, MA is seeking a Technician to join our field team. Earn a competitive salary plus unlimited commissions, a company vehicle, gas card, smartphone, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will inspect homes and businesses, identify pest issues, recommend treatments, and work with sales to estimate service needs. No experience required; paid training and pesticide licensing provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to obtain pesticide license within the first 90 days (company paid).
• Ability to work in the field independently, manage route-based assignments.
• We will comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge learned to help residential and commercial customers with pest control issues.
• Inspect attics, crawlspaces, and the interiors and exteriors of homes or businesses.
• Identify opportunities to sell additional services or equipment.
• Recommend treatment and prevention methods for pest problems to clients.
• Consult with sales reps and leaders to provide estimates for maintenance service requirements or costs.

Responsibilities

The Successful Candidate Will . . .

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• No Experience Required– we’ll train you!
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid)
• Ability to work in the field independently, manage route-based assignments and interact with our great customers inside their businesses and/or homes

Physical Demands / Working Environment:

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc. including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator
• Willing to work in different types of weather conditions
