Job summary

5812 Investment Group in Columbus, OH is seeking Pest Control Technicians to inspect premises, identify infestation sources, and apply treatments while maintaining safety and cleanup standards. You will set traps, document activities, and secure work areas during fumigation and treatment processes.

We offer an hourly pay range of $21.00–$23.00 plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental premiums, life insurance, 401k match, PTO, HSA options, holidays, and equipment

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of pests, control products, services, and treatments.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Current and valid driver’s license required. Must have reliable transportation with insurance to safely and effectively carry out the responsibilities listed above.

Responsibilities

• Inspect premises to identify infestation source and extent of damage to property, wall, or roof porosity and access to infested locations.
• Spray or dust chemical solutions, powders, or gases into rooms, onto clothing, furnishings, or wood, or over marshlands, ditches, or catch basins.
• Set mechanical traps and place bait.
• Record work activities performed.
• Clean work site after completion of job.
• Post warning signs and lock building doors to secure area to be fumigated.
• Cut or bore openings in building or surrounding concrete, access infested areas, insert nozzle, and inject pesticide to impregnate ground.
• Study preliminary reports or diagrams of infested area and determine treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.
• Direct or assist other workers in treatment or extermination processes to eliminate or control rodents, insects, or weeds.
• Set mechanical traps or place poisonous paste or bait in sewers, burrows, or ditches.
• Measure area dimensions requiring treatment, using rule, calculate fumigant requirements, and estimate cost for service.
• Utilize appropriate protective gear and equipment during application
• Clean and remove blockages from infested areas to facilitate spraying procedures and provide drainage, using brooms.
• Position and fasten edges of tarpaulins over building and tape vents to ensure air-tight environment and check for leaks mops, shovels, or rakes.
