Job summary

Wonderful Orchards Ltd. seeks a Plant Care Advisor to build and maintain nutrient and crop protection programs for pistachios, almonds, and pomegranates in California. You will work with farming teams to implement crop protection and nutrition plans.

You will monitor orchards, prepare recommendations, track material usage, and assist with budgeting and planning for future years, while coordinating with procurement and ranch leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires a PCA license and related certifications.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an agricultural environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor orchards for pests, nutrition issues, and diseases.
• Assist with crop protection recommendations and schedules using software.
• Coordinate nutrient application timing and materials.
• Track quantities of nutrients and crop protection products applied.
• Coordinate procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Forecast and budget for future crop year.
• Monitor field conditions (weeds, pests, phenology).
• Attend weekly ranch meetings to report PCA updates.
