Job summary

Wonderful Orchards, part of The Wonderful Company, is seeking a PCA to build and maintain nutrient and crop protection programs for pistachios, almonds, and pomegranates in California. The role requires coordinating with farming teams to execute crop protection and nutrient plans.

You will analyze orchards for pests and nutrition, generate recommendations, track material usage, and assist with budgeting and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Requires educational and/or experience requirements to obtain a PCA license.
• Minimum of 1 year working in an agricultural environment.
• Experience with GPS, spraying equipment, and farm management software is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze orchards for insects, weeds, nutrition deficiencies, and disease.
• Assist farming departments with crop protection recommendations and schedules using software.
• Coordinate nutrient and crop protection material application.
• Track and record quantities of nutrients and materials applied.
• Order materials and liaise with Procurement to ensure timely delivery.
• Forecast and budget for future crop year.
• Monitor field conditions such as weed pressure and pest pressure.
• Attend weekly ranch meetings to report PCA updates.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
