Job Description Summary
Controls or operates machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Inspect and maintain safety equipment regularly; ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including PPE use and chemical exposure precautions.
- Transfer chemicals between process areas and perform labeling, stock movement, and packaging supply inventory.
- Prepare equipment for maintenance using Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and issue Safe Work permits.
- Conduct water sampling, oversee weekend river pump operations, and support wastewater reporting.
- Troubleshoot processes, perform minor maintenance, and submit maintenance work requests.
- Accurately document operational activities and prepare monthly inventory and wastewater reports.
- Communicate effectively with team members across shifts and participate in all required training.
- Work in physically demanding environments involving walking, climbing, and handling materials, often exposed to fumes and chemicals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; prior experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in chemical environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word; familiarity with SAP and SharePoint is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability in continuous improvement settings; detail-oriented and organized.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Committed to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards; aware of risks and hazards.
- Physically capable of frequent walking, climbing, and lifting over 50 pounds; must handle raw materials and finished products.
- Must tolerate exposure to fumes and chemicals; respirator use and PPE required; no chemical allergies.
Summary Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.

Pay Range: The Starting rate for this position is: $27.67
