Job summary

Fusion Academy is a fully accredited 1-to-1 private school for grades 5–12. The Physical & Health Education Teacher will design creative lessons, shape schedules, and collaborate with passionate colleagues in a student-centered environment.

You will mentor students, support social-emotional growth, and build strong partnerships with parents while maintaining accurate records and pursuing ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or Physical Education.
• Minimum of 20 college credits in Kinesiology, Anatomy, Physiology, and/or Physical Education.
• Expertise in the relevant subject area.
• Enrollment in a program for, or completion of, a Personal Trainer certification.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Ability and willingness to teach a wide variety of PE & health courses (athletic sports, dance, board sports, personal fitness, group classes, health), following content standards — curriculum and resources provided.
• Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.
• Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.
• Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
• Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem-solve as needed.
