The Personalized Medicine Scientist will serve as the primary scientific resource enabling SCRI’s Personalized Medicine program. The role involves assimilating clinical, molecular, and trial data, supporting educational activities, building presentations, and tracking program metrics. The scientist will develop a knowledgebase of actionable oncology mutations and therapies, acting as a scientific consultant and interacting with healthcare professionals.

Duties Include:

  1. Facilitating Molecular Tumor Boards and seminars.
  2. Analyzing patient molecular profiles for targeted therapies and clinical trials.
  3. Interacting with medical oncologists and research staff for result interpretation.
  4. Identifying patients for clinical trials and coordinating screening.
  5. Building relationships with physicians and research staff for scientific advice.
  6. Capturing and reporting metrics related to personalized medicine efforts.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Master's Degree required, PhD preferred.
  • 1+ year experience with understanding of cell biology and signaling pathways.
  • Knowledge of oncology therapeutics and mechanisms.
  • Understanding of cancer genomics and sequencing technologies.
  • Familiarity with clinical research processes.

This position is based in Nashville, TN. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Greater Nashville Area.
