Description

Job Description: TVFCU seeks talented service professionals who embody our values and are passionate about serving our members. The Personal Teller handles all phases of teller transactions related to checking, savings, and loans, initiated from Interactive Teller Machines (ITM). The role involves following teller policies, assessing transaction risks, minimizing losses, and providing excellent member service while promoting the Credit Union’s services.

  • Handles all teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan transactions, within designated limits.
  • Verifies endorsements as per operational policies.
  • Reports suspicious activity through proper channels.
  • Follows policies and demonstrates understanding of fraud and risk management related to ITM transactions.
  • Provides high-quality member service according to TVFCU guidelines.
  • Complies with federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Skills and Requirements: Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service experience. Banking and sales experience are preferred but not required. TVFCU offers growth opportunities to develop a satisfying career.

  • Displays a professional demeanor with an outgoing personality that connects with members.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; bilingual abilities are highly preferred.
  • Ensures compliance with credit union policies and procedures.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills to resolve member issues with limited supervision.
  • Capable of processing transactions in a complex, multi-functional environment while providing excellent service and promoting ITM usage.
  • Ability to assess risk, exercise discretion, and handle sensitive issues.
  • Sound decision-making in check acceptance.
  • Proficient in negotiable instrument policies and procedures.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
