Description

Personal Trust Administrator directs and coordinates activities related to setting up and administering personal trusts, agencies, foundations, guardianships, and estates. The Administrator works with the Portfolio Manager to develop and execute the customer's investment goals and collaborates with the Operations area to ensure the collection of income, dividends, receipts, disbursements, and statements. Occasionally, the Administrator will assist clients' attorneys, accountants, or others in establishing estate plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administer complex fiduciary trust accounts, agencies, and foundations according to their terms. Monitor accounts daily, oversee cash balances, and prepare monthly account reviews.
  • Assist in managing Estates and Guardianships, including preparing inventories, distributions, court accountings, and addressing tax basis issues.
  • Assist in preparing fiduciary income tax returns, gift tax returns, and federal estate tax returns.
  • Gather all necessary information to establish accounts, including documents, assets, beneficiary details, and assist in setting investment objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive client files and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and all regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Work with the Portfolio Manager to coordinate investment needs, including cash management and asset allocation.
  • Provide proactive, professional service to meet client needs and resolve issues in account administration.
  • Contribute to the development of Trust Company services and products.
  • Maintain communication with attorneys, CPAs, and other professionals for potential trust business.
  • Have a working knowledge of bank products and introduce trust clients to bank services to support new business.
  • Perform assigned tasks, projects, and duties as required.
  • Complete mandatory and elective training, including BSA and Anti-Money Laundering procedures, maintaining compliance with all rules and regulations.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance as an essential requirement.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; JD or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Trust or related business.
