Role Overview
At EōS, our Personal Training Manager (PTM) plays a key leadership role in select high-volume gyms, guiding and growing the personal training team daily. Reporting to the Fitness Manager and collaborating with the Sr. Director of PT Experience, the PTM ensures trainers deliver top-notch service and build strong relationships with members. This role focuses on coaching trainers, supporting their development, and creating a positive environment that drives client satisfaction, retention, and results.
Essential Purpose
Improve the quality and maximize profitability of the personal training team in high-volume EōS locations.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day management of the personal training staff.
- Serve as the key business partner to the Fitness Manager in managing the personal training business.
- Drive the team to meet or exceed all established PT targets each month.
- Lead high-value PT orientation sessions that maximize new client acquisition and increase overall PT penetration.
- Identify and operationalize opportunities to grow and improve the personal training department.
- Improve the EōS personal training experience to drive revenue growth and client retention.
- Own the end-to-end management of the trainer lifecycle: sourcing, hiring, onboarding, in-club training, development, and ongoing performance management.
- Coach and develop trainers through regularly scheduled individual and team meetings.
- Minimize trainer turnover and increase personal trainer tenure through ongoing coaching, development, and support.
Qualifications
- At least one year as an EōS personal trainer (internal) or verifiable managerial experience (external).
- Equivalent to an L2 or Master Coach level as an EōS personal trainer.
- Enthusiastic about developing teams through education and coaching.
- Comfortable with accountability for achieving performance goals and company KPIs.
- Excellent communicator with high emotional intelligence.
- Organized, detail-oriented initiative-taker who meets deadlines.
Requirements
- Successful background check.
- Valid Personal Training Certification.
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work in a gym setting, move around club floors and rooms, and communicate with employees, members, and the public.
- Ability to bend repeatedly and lift more than 40 lbs.
- Ability to access and operate company computer systems, prepare documents, enter data, read reports, and use email.
Compensation and Benefits
