YMCA of South Hampton Roads is seeking a dedicated Personal Trainer to empower members to reach their fitness goals through customized training programs, motivation, and accountability within a supportive community that changes lives daily.

As a coach and mentor, you’ll work with individuals of all ages to improve strength, endurance, and overall wellness using evidence-based methods, while upholding YMCA values and delivering exceptional member service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Personal Training Certification from a nationally recognized organization with NCAA Accreditation.
• Must have knowledge of strength/free weight and cardiovascular equipment, general strength training principles, and modifications for populations with basic nutrition knowledge.
• YMCA certificates to include: YMCA Healthy Lifestyle Principles, YMCA Foundations of Strength and Conditioning (recommended).
• CPR/First Aid/AED/O2 certification required.

Responsabilités

• Provide quality member service and education on exercise principles and nutrition.
• Lead members through workouts, provide feedback to maximize fitness gains.
• Conduct baseline fitness assessments for members.
• Support members’ wellness goals using Listen First techniques and ongoing programs.
