Job summary

The Petersburg Family YMCA, part of the YMCA of Greater Richmond, is seeking certified Personal Trainers to design and implement exercise programs and to work closely with members. Personal Trainer pay range is $20-$23 per hour and Advanced Personal Trainer pay range is $27-$31 per hour. Morning hours are preferred, but all hours are accepted.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current nationally recognized personal trainer certification and CPR/AED/First Aid.
• Certification from ACSM, NSCA or ACE is acceptable.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet member needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement exercise programs for members.
• Work with members on wellness floor, provide orientations and evaluations.
• Attend to duties and maintain equipment and fitness areas.

DUTIES of a Personal Trainer

• We are looking for personal trainers who are willing to work flexible hours to accommodate members' needs.
• It is also preferred that these individuals work hours as a Wellness Coach to utilize their time to build relationships with members, provide equipment orientations, conduct fitness evaluations, clean equipment, and assist members on the wellness floor.

QUALIFICATIONS of a Personal Trainer

• Personal trainers are required to have a current nationally recognized personal trainer certification (ACSM, NSCA, ACE, etc.) as well as current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
