A Day in the Life of a Personal Trainer

Compensation for Client Sessions

• Level 1 – Earn $20 per 60-minute session
• Level 2 – Earn $25 – $35 per 60-minute session
• Level 3 – Earn $30 – $50 per 60-minute session
• Elite Level – Earn $35 – $67 per 60-minute session

30-minute sessions are compensated at half the rate of a 60-minute session.

Qualifications

• Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with members, while delivering excellent customer service with an energetic, motivating, and enthusiastic demeanor.
• Ability to resolve conflicts professionally and diplomatically.
• Baseline computer skills for managing email, schedules, and other business tools.
• Thorough knowledge of exercise science, nutrition, and fitness programming.
• Ability to demonstrate safe and effective exercise techniques.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting.

Certifications, Degrees & Training Experience

• Holds one or more nationally accredited PT Certifications
• CPR/AED certified, required
• High school diploma or GED, required
• Four‑year degree in Exercise Science or a related field, preferred
• Minimum one-year personal training experience, preferred
• Previous experience in fitness program design, preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift or move 50 lbs.
• Physical effort required for daily duties includes lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing.

Post‑Hire Expectations

After 90-days of employment, trainers will be expected to maintain a minimum of 16 hours of long‑term recurring personal training services per month to maintain their position.
