Schedule & Compensation

SCHEDULE: Varies depending on appointments. Must be flexible to work weeknights and weekends.

PAY RATE: $20.00/hr

Job Description

The Personal Trainer provides an enjoyable, high-quality, and safe exercise prescription to YMCA members and program participants.

1. Conduct fitness assessments to understand members' current fitness levels.
2. Adaptability to tailor training programs for various fitness levels and preferences.
3. Provide clear and concise instructions on exercise techniques. Demonstrate proper form and posture to minimize the risk of injury.
4. Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Be passionate about fitness and helping others reach their goals.
6. Show patience and empathy to understand clients' individual challenges.
7. Must obtain or possess a Personal Training Certification through a nationally recognized organization (AFAA, ACE, NSCA, NASM, or ACSM).

Personal Training and CPR/AED/First Aid certifications are required prior to hire and/or before performing Personal Trainer duties.
