Job summary

The City of Golden is seeking a qualified Personal Trainer to conduct one-on-one and group training sessions at the Golden Community Center. You will counsel patrons on fitness and wellness and help schedule client appointments, while maintaining safe, professional instruction aligned to individual goals.

Candidates must hold a nationally recognized Personal Training certification and CPR/AED by hire, with the ability to work with diverse age groups and fitness levels.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Personal Training certification from a nationally recognized certifying agency (i.e. ACE, ACSM). NCCA approved agencies preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain w/in 30 days of hire.
• Ability to train both one-on-one and in groups.
• Ability to assess clients and create workouts for individual goals.

Responsibilities

• Counsel assigned patrons on various aspects of physical fitness and wellness.
• Contact and schedule appointments with clients for one-on-one sessions.
• Train clients in a safe and professional manner based on their goals.
• Work with a variety of clients.
• Instruct classes in weight training to teens and adults.
• Issue weight room certifications to youth 12-15 years of age upon successful completion of a weight training class.
