Job Description
Equinox is the industry leader in Personal Training with the Equinox Fitness Training Institute (EFTI) providing in‑house education for over two decades. The role offers the highest compensation structure in the industry with a potential earning of $100K+ and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and retirement options.
Primary Responsibilities
- PT Business Management – build and maintain an active client base.
- Manage accurate schedules using internal scheduling systems.
- Market and sell personal training programs to members and/or clients via phone, email and in‑person interactions.
- Maintain knowledge of all club services, programs and products.
- Provide service and hospitality: execute fitness assessments, guided workouts and other complimentary services.
- Enhance member workouts and overall club experience through interaction.
- Create and coach personalized programs for in‑person and virtual clients.
- Maintain an organized and safe fitness floor during shifts and sessions.
- Attend Continuing Education classes to elevate knowledge and qualify for promotions.
- Attend and participate in required one‑on‑one or team meetings with management.
Qualifications
- Current Personal Training certification or willingness to obtain one via reimbursement program.
- Eligibility to begin a higher tier and pay rate based on prior experience and education (degree in the field).
- Current CPR/AED certification (certification opportunities available for non‑certified applicants).
- Passion, ambition, drive and knowledge regarding fitness.
- Ability to work in‑person during weekdays and weekends.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Basic computer and technology skills.
- Energetic, friendly, punctual and respectful.
